From as long as I can remember, I have always liked what I would call "simple" colours. In my day to day wear, I never wear bulky jewellery or frilly clothes. I like natural textures such as linens and cottons. Interesting though, when I worked in the corporate world, I liked to wear colourful dresses, possibly to differentiate me to the rest of the brown / grey / drab city world. My favourite dress designer was and still is Leona Edmiston; I had cupboards full of her delightful designs. That's probably where my love of my green Prada spectacle glasses stems from. I no longer wear her dresses everyday, just the colourful glasses! But that's for another blog. This post is about the colour Blush.
I recently worked with Sandra Chau Design and the brief was blush / brown (as opposed to the softer blush / pink). These colours for me feel so homely, soulful and calming. I feel like I melt into these colours. Perfection.
That's how I want my brides to feel when they see their floral colours. I want the floral colours and tones to invoke an emotion that's specifically theirs.
